We had a pre-natal visit the day before we left. Oh--if you don't know, we're about to have another baby. We've been a little lackadaisical about telling folks this time around. Oops.
Momma Meg loves it when I take spontaneous photos in the waiting room...
"Are you sure this is the father, m'am?"
Proof positive that W.C. Fields is the father, not me...
(Boy? Girl? We don't know!)
It's a bird! It's a...
...oh, it actually is a plane.
Ready to fly.
Ready to beach.
Ready to down a cocktail and boogie...
(Virgin drink for Mom, people.)
And now, the night of the company dinner!
Time to apply the lipstick.
And Chapstick.
Time to dance.
Nice view (from our room)...
Nice feet...
Nice hat...
Nice belly...
Sandy castles lead to sandy bummies.
As with all travels, this trip brought us new friends....
Ayla absolutely loved Carolina, who ran the impressive on-site day care center. They normally took only children age 4 and up, but things were slow, and the staff redefined "nice," so we got lucky and were able to leave Ayla there for a little chunk of each day, which gave Meg and I some way overdue alone time, and Ayla a chance to play with new people, new toys, and new arts and crafts items.
Did I mentioned how much she looooooved Carolina?
Ayla with Carolina, Victor (her new boyfriend), and Diana.
Last year, Ayla met Ian and Justin, sons of our friends, Mike and Janet Udulutch, but this year, she was old enough to learn how cool they are. Hey, when are you flying out to give us our private music concert, guys??
WE!
HAD!
FUN!
